A security guard room that is a building, not a box
A guard sits in the cabin for eight or twelve hours at a stretch, often at the least sheltered point on the property. That makes insulation, ventilation and a proper window the three things that decide whether the post is usable in July.
Espace® guard cabins are built from a GI or MS steel frame with PU insulated panels, wired for lighting and power, and finished before delivery. The guard room arrives as a complete unit and is positioned at the gate rather than built there.
Guard cabins for homes, housing societies and factories
For a private house or farmhouse, a compact cabin at the gate is usually enough: a chair, a desk, a fan or AC, and a clear view of the entrance. For a housing society or factory, the requirement usually includes a register counter, a barrier control point and a small washroom.
Because each unit is fabricated to order, the layout follows the job. A society gate and a factory weighbridge post are different buildings even when the footprint is close, and it is cheaper to plan that difference on paper than to correct it afterwards.
Security guard room sizes and washroom options
Our smallest cabins start at 6' × 6' × 8', which covers a single guard post with a window and a door; the 8' × 8' × 8' cabin adds room for a desk and a visitor counter. Larger two-room guard rooms handle a register area plus a washroom.
A washroom is the option most often added. It needs a water connection and drainage at the gate, so mention it before fabrication and include the plumbing point in your site work rather than retrofitting it later.
Installation at the gate
A guard cabin needs a level base — a concrete pad or compacted gravel — and a power connection. Positioning takes very little time once the unit is on site, because nothing is assembled or finished at the gate.
If the gate is far from the main building, tell us during the site assessment. It affects how the cabin is lifted into place and where the electrical point is run, both of which are easier to plan beforehand than to change.
